 | Tis said that friendship is a plant that we must water often and I say it is true. But what of the kindred spirit, that magical mystical "other half" who may not drink of your friendship for ages, yet return as if in a dream. The kindred spirit is someone who almost instinctively knows what you will say, how you will feel and what makes you uniquely you. I use the word unique advisedly, as the kindred spirit is almost a mirror image of you...and you both know it almost immediately.
The kindred spirit is like a soul who knows when it has found its true home, and never wishes to venture too far away ever again. Oh, the kindred spirit need not be nourished with daily phone calls, visits or updates, it just knows that it knows that it knows...that it has found it's home. The kindred spirit is special because of it's rarity...indeed, many truly wonderful people never experience the uniting of the kindred spirit, but if you do, you know it by the comfort, ease and freedom by which you can express or share your innermost thoughts, desires and deeds.
You know that you will not be judged but merely accepted and loved unconditionally by your kindred spirit and the result will be a feeling that you will never again be alone or in darkness.
Pray well, fellow passengers, for the kindred spirit can not only make the journey safer, but more meaningful. It is like finding lightening in a bottle, once you have it, you wish for the tender glow and bright light to never dim....and it never does. When you have met your kindred spirit, you not only have found the way home....you are already there.
