 | Father I pray today
To wash my transgressions away.
Please bless my thoughts, deeds and what I say,
And never let me go astray.
Keep Satan and his fallen angels at bay.
Grant me peace and prosperity if you may.
Let sanctity and tranquillity always stay.
Let the enemy be confounded and in a disarray,
If they ever tempt me to depart from your way.
Father I love you with all my heart and soul,
Will never cease loving you even after I am in that 6-foot hole.
Carrying out your works is my role,
And I shall perform them without the slightest bit of dole.
When weariness from persecution takes its toll,
I pray O Jah you remind me of my goal.
You will never let me out from under your fold.
For Satan my joy he once stole.
I will worship you O Lord til even after the day I grow old.
Father I was made to love and worship you.
Glorifying you by my thoughts, my words and the things I do.
Let my tongue always be used for your praise
And to edify others of your ways,
In doing this I will have length of days,
My spirit magnifies you though my body decays.
The house of the iniquitous You will raze
While the sanctuary of the righteous forever stays,
Only You O Most High God can extricate me from this Babylonian maze.
