	If I were your boyfriend, we'd see it all I'd stay up at night and wait for YOUR call I'd kiss you and hug you and make you smile We'd sit in your bedroom and talk for awhile If I were your boyfriend, I'd open the door I'd pay for your dinner and let you get more I'd wait for you patiently to get ready to go If I had a problem, I'd let you know If I were your boyfriend, I'd be faithful and true I'd never, and I mean never, make you feel blue I won't call you so often you feel like I'm stalking And I wouldn't get jealous if it WAS 'just talking' If I were your boyfriend, I'd tell everyone I'd listen to dreams and make time for fun I'd meet your parents and be very nice And I won't complain about burned 'Instant Rice' If I were your boyfriend, I'd change your frown And I'd pick you up if your car does break down I'd try to catch you if ever you fall And go INSIDE the store if we go to the mall If I were your boyfriend, I'd always be near I'd NEVER hit you, there'd be nothing to fear If I were your boyfriend, I'd always be me Is 'boyfriend' something you want me to be?
