What is he up to?

Hi people, I’m in love with a guy from a year nearly. He was my best friend before we actually got into this relationship. He knew all my past relationships and had no problem with it because he actually knew that nothing was serious. I love him very much and I feel even he does.But from a few days he is acting quite weird. He wanted to wish me first on my birthday and he himself said me that. But he didn’t even wish me when I came in front of him. He actually left ignoring me without even talking to me. I was shocked because I never expected he would behave that way that too on my birthday.

Later he called me at sometime in the afternoon and said sorry and wished me. I was very upset so I like kept the phone and didn’t speak much. Next day he saw me but didn’t speak to me. Later on he called me up and said how are you, what you doing and all casual questions. I’m unable to understand why is he behaving as such. I love him very much and I don’t want to loose him at any cost. Now after all this, I’m getting different things in my mind like whether he doesn’t need me anymore or whether he loves someone else now? Please help me out... I’m not able to understand what to do?
