The true meaning of life, not here today?

Have any thought the least bit pathetic perhaps?
Oh no, not this oracles’ voice.
See what is shown, hear what is spoken,

Not true, of course! Yet oh so delightful,
And good for ‘the soul’.
Understanding but never comprehending, oh my…
Delivering lies by the dozens
Like beautiful roses covered in thorns.
Pray today, steal tomorrow — “forgive me Lord,
Sinners are redeemed by Sunday church goings,
Are they not?”
So much to learn… So little time.
Remove the plank from thine eyes,
Dost thou not see?
Bats are blind, we are not all bats.
Yet flitting about in darkness is so much easier;
Even more so unknown.
America, a dream, homeland for the free and the brave!
In a dream… Underneath dark clouds
(and no I’m not talking about smog pollution)
Wherever a weak mind; a victim is found

However much wealth gained; is never enough.
Crowns and kings and angels’ wings,
Such silly things…
Blinding veils, clever words, reassuring glances
Very, very sneaky.
Government conspiracies? 'Tis not the government to fret
Many still but fools…
All is not quite right yet indeed meaningless
Millions with millions
Big ol’ mansions, fancy things and such.
Some wish to buy bread,
Others buy head… Sick, anyone?
Perhaps bread for head? Even worse, huh?

Liberty and justice for all! (Back to that American dream thing)
Ah, but is it not the fault of the individual,
All for one and one for all?
See three lines up.
Create standing decrees or none at all.
However, hidden treasures lie for the poor,

Sunshine is refreshing
Until realization hits:
Well there won’t be time to realize it when it does.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
Both just as easily blown away.
Children’s rhymes hold deeper meanings,

Why? It’s all just around and around and aro…
Creed vs. Greed, the victor?
Some pretend to know, others hope.
Very few with the faith.
Ominous signs in the sky,
Only fools believe anything.
Where have all the wise men gone,

I think never when:
Heaven in a strip club,
Heaven in a bar,
Heaven in a crack house,
Heaven in a sports car.
