 | Blackened souls filled with sin,
A hazing fog blurs the vision,
What once was held high,
Now has been dropped,
What once was protected,
Now has been broken.
The black veil spreads its shadow
across the world,
Causing pain and mutiny.
Destroying sight and morals in its path,
Leaving behind destruction and confusion.
Why is it that we trust something we hardly know,
when it only throws out a lifetime of dreams?
How is it we get so caught up in this wave of black water?
If only one single thought could inspire many,
to step out from behind the curtain of death,
Perhaps we would finally be able to open our eyes
and spread our ability to seeing not only looking.
