Questions from a lonely heart

Have you ever missed a person so much?
You found yourself writing their name
Like a routine when pen hits the paper
Or scarred their name into your skin?
When the knife brings the release
But being released can’t bring you closer to them.
When they dwell deep inside your heart
And you dwell deep inside their ego

I can feel this emotion taking over
Breaking into my sanity,
Uninvited, it forces its way into my mind
Knocking down each of my defences, one by one
Until I'm left vulnerable… desperate.
Erasing all rational thoughts my wasted mind longs to process

You have never seen the severity of your words
How they affect me. My desire.
My obsession.
Have you ever been the victim of such a ‘romance’?
Or have you, yourself faked your emotions away
Which would you rather?
feed the obsession...
Or have it feed you?
