My One Reprise

If for one moment I could be anywhere in time or space
I would be right here with you
And if I recount all the lonely days and nights
Only you would be my one repriseYou are music reoccurring in my heart
And I long for your touch

I wonder often, if this was meant to be
Two lonely hearts in search of love

Living in a sometimes cold and forsaken world
In a place where dreams can and do become reality

Where the terrain can sometimes appear barren
You light up my life and bring pleasure once more

Imagine a place void of the fruits of life
Until you reached out to me and my heart blossomed

And now you are in my waking thoughts and my evening prayers
Wishing nothing more than to keep you there in my arms

If the world had ceased to exist today
I would have been grateful to have been with you
