Another Hello

I hear the words so sweet
your meek face I see as thoughts touch my mind
for a while I smile and let the memories linger
but then sadness peeps as my tears flowlooking through reality that you're completely gone.
Never did I wish these feelings would perish
our love was so full of promise, warmth, and passion
that I thought you would stay
I had faith our bond wouldn't turn gray.
The sweetness of you is so much missed
your absence makes my world empty
as reminiscences fill my mind the more I seek your presence
the more I wish that one of these days you'd be back
to say hello, no more goodbyes.
