 | I miss your warm lips, meeting my cheek,
While we held each other, from sunrise to sunset
My mind and my heart question one another,
Asking whether it’s the love, I miss...Or a love, I miss
My mind answers the earlier
My heart answers the latter
“The heart never lies”,
As my virtues perceive,
And, yet... How can something so pure - true love - be forlorn?
I miss the memories, yes, extremely so
I’m afraid, though, that the future will consist of memory-making with another...
Time has passed and love has faded, my heart tells me,
But I’m not ready to accept such a thing:
Wishes, of mine, do not consist of sharing my soul, with you, again,
Though they do consist of loving, once more
Will my life take on the role of a Cinderella story, for a such a wish to be granted?
As it has, before, time will answer this, as it answers all.
