 | Each and every day I’m gone
I think about her smile.
With tired eyes and sleepy yawn,
I delay sleep but just a while.
If I could make up my dreams,
It would just be her and I
Staring into cold moon beams,
Flying through the sky.
Soaring over building tops
And trees blown in the breeze,
In this moment, my life just stops…
Love is made of moments like these.
Then I awake to my alarm
And my dreams linger in bed,
But I can’t forget her charm
So I daydream of her instead.
As my day begins like this
I’m off to work or school.
No matter who I see, it’s her I miss
And thinking of her is my fuel.
To practice more and make some time
To spend on our weekend,
Because she makes me feel sublime
And she is my girlfriend.
And no matter what I want to be,
No matter where I want to go,
She’s always right beside me
As we learn and as we grow.
We’ve had some ups and downs,
We have more bridges in our way.
But through the smiles and the frowns
I’m hers each and every day.
The sweetest melody I’ve ever heard,
More beautiful than I could compose,
More charming than a whistling bird,
I’m but a thorn beside this rose.
I really think she’s quite worthwhile.
As we compose and improvise
I’m trapped in her arms, caught in her smile,
I’m lost in the sight of her eyes.
But when I smell that enchanting scent,
I can’t take my mind from the wants and desires
Of holding her close and being content
In a moment of happiness that truly inspires.
When I hold her in my arms, we are together – we are one.
Our hearts beat in perfect rhythm and I am truly alive.
Then I realize that this journey's just begun
And I want nothing more than "us" to thrive.
