Don't forget me

I knew from the beginning,
That this would happen,
All the tears that needed to be washed away,
Are still here,
Because of you, I don’t need anyone,
No more, all gone,
Into the deep thoughts of life,
But I’m still here waiting,
For you to wipe my eyes dry,
To give me a loving hug,
But until that happens,
I sit here and die,
Drowning in my pain,
Yes, it’s still there,
It’s deep down inside me,
Waiting to explode,
Bringing back all those memories,
So I wait here,
For you,
