Memories Never Spent

I try to take it on day at a time
But it’s harder than you think
All I want, is for you to be mine
Nights last forever
I lay there thinking of you…
Of all times we were never together

All these empty memories are in my head
And all the things you never said
Maybe my mind thinks ahead…

Oh I wish that were true
But my mind is so askew
I don’t know how I misconstrue

All I can ever do is hope
That one day I’ll be with you
But dreams... They never come true
