 | The candles were flickering playfully in the breeze
As she stood in front of the mirror and dressed
White lace she would choose this night to welcome him
As she thought of him rushing home to discover his surprise,
She slowly pulled up her lace stockings,
Clipping the garter carefully
And slipped on her high heeled shoes
She laid back on the bed and felt the cool satin touch her skin
Looked at the clock and smiled,
His car will be pulling in the driveway, soon
She stood and lit lavender incense,
And felt a familiar stir from within
How she longed for his embrace, welcoming and warm
As she makes the final touch of cherry red lipstick
She hears the car approach as she prepares herself, suggestively on the bed
Then the jingle of the keys in the door as the sound of footsteps draws near
Keys dropped on the table as the bedroom door becomes ajar
“Honey, where are...” As he stops dead in his tracks
All of his senses are overflowing with lavender,
