Nightmare

I look up at the starry night sky
To see the past that causes me so much pain inside
I look back at what happened between you and me
You remind me over and over again in my dreams
That I can never let you go
But every time I look at you
It all comes flowing back
You’re like a nightmare that never stops
I try to forget but you will never let me let go
I try to forget those nightmares but they will never stop
I try to forget you but you keep coming back
Then I finally wake up
And I realize that it was just a nightmare
That’s starting to come true
