 | Perming a hair style is a fantastic way to add everything from body to true curls to straight hair.
Thermo-hair curlers are also very convenient to use. They must be plastic, not metal as they used to be. They provide long hair curling with lightning speed. But here you should be careful, if you choose this way of hair setting your hair must be dry. Spray a lock and curl it with hot thermo-curlers, then fix. Cool your hair for 20 minutes and set with a large-toothed comb. It is better not to use thermo-curlers more often than once a week.If you are short of time to set your hair but anyway you want to look good, you should have sticky curlers for such case. They are covered with microscopical loops so that hair sticks to them. Long hair needs more efforts and there are no problems with short hair. You can curl both dry and wet hair with sticky curlers.

The way of hair setting: comb clean wet hair with styling gel then shape hair in waves with fingers and put clamps on the hair ridges. Let your hair dry up, and do not brush it after that, just comb slightly with a large-toothed comb.
To make your hair look zigzag you will need a thermo clamp with a fine, relief surface. This hairdo looks marvelous but you shouldn’t keep it as your every day style because the clamp damages your hair a lot and causes its dryness and break.
Curling-irons. You can make wonderful locks with curling-irons even if you have the naughtiest hair (it is better when the side the curling-irons touch hair is made of special thermoplastic). The way of curling: divide your hair into four parts – the upper one, the back one and the side ones. Start from the back, curl thin dry locks in spirals. Hold the lock in hot irons no more than 10 seconds, untwist carefully and cool as long as possible. Don’t brush hot hair, you can damage it! At last, arrange your locks in the form of spirals with fingers and some gel or comb with a large toothed comb. You should be careful if you have fine, sensible or “tired” hair, you shouldn’t use the irons too often, because too strong heating is a big stress for hair, it makes hair weak and dry and they really look like straw.
Locks “vice versa”. There is some advice for those with curly hair given by nature. These people usually dream of making hair smooth and straight with flying effect. However the hair becomes wavy again after blow dry, especially in wet weather. You can avoid it using a hair iron which is a device with two thermal plates. You should brush your hair with gel or mousse after washing and make it half-dried. Then straight your hair with the iron, comb and fix the hairdo.
But if you don’t consider ordinary ways of curling able to provide you with a perfect hairdo or you just want to change your image in the new year, and also would like to pay less attention and spend less time on the hairdo without effecting your appearance in any way, the real help for you will be PERM.
It is not possible to make wonders with your hair everyday! Who is able and patient enough to do that? So if you are short of time but eager to look curly, a hairdresser’s is waiting for you, there you will get your hair permed and wavy.
And now let’s find out what is going on with our hair when we make a long-term perming.
Hair is sequentially worked up with two grouts. Professionals call them “reducing” and “neutralizing”. Under the reducer influence a part of hair keratin, exactly its sulphury, is dissolved. The more substance is destroyed the more effective the perm will be and the longer it will last. Like many years ago – the first perm was made in 1938 – nowadays ammonium thioglycolic acid is mostly used as a reducer. Some quantity of surface-active substances are used to prevent a lot of excessive reducer penetration into scalp, it may cause overdrying, dandruff and even scalds. Then hair is curled with curlers, shaped and fixed.
This process is considered to be oxidative, that is why it is necessary to use the second neutralizing grout to stop the reaction.
Anyway perm is a hard stress for your hair. If your hair is not strong enough – dry, splitting, need treatment, or too greasy, you would better desist from perming until your hair is healthy enough.
The finer your hair is the more exigent it is to perming ways. As fine hair is soft, weak, and quickly gets flabby, so the substances you use for perming should be strong enough and spare at the same time. Thick and fine hair naturally keeps the hairdo longer, that’s why a light perm is enough. Classical perm is good for healthy hair. If the perm has been made well, the hair can keep the perm from three to six months. However permed hair needs a special care in any case.
A new way of perming has been invented lately – so called “bioperming”. This method uses sulphides instead of thioglycolic acid. They influence hair more gently. Except it bioperming almost doesn’t damage scalp. It hasn’t got any unpleasant smell. Nevertheless you should use it carefully for unhealthy, damaged hair.
One more new thing in this field is a perm with acid solution. In contrast to alkaline solution the new solution has pH which is close to the natural – 6-7. But this solution is not so persistent and the perming term made with it is twice shorter than the classical one.
If you want to volumize your hair just on the crown because your hair ends are still permed well enough, it is not necessary to perm the hair in full length. You may only perm at the roots. This kind of perming is right for a case if the hair ends have been damaged before. The hair is permed just at the roots and the ends are not touched.
Anyway you would better discuss all these details with your hairdresser and choose the most appropriate curlers for your hair.
And one more advice. If you’ve got used to joint shampoo that is a shampoo and a hair rinse containing silicone, you should be ready to lose your perm sooner than you expected to. The silicones, which are ingressed into hair straighten your hair gradually and “kill” the hairdo while every washing. You should take advice from a specialist on how to care of your hair after perming.
Perming.
Such great holiday as New Years Eve is the time when you can and must afford all what you want. For example you can use special hair products, which will help you look really for this holiday, but not so decorated as a new year’s tree of course.
Let’s start from gel with sparkles of different colors. This gel is applied on separate locks or just on the bangs or ponytails. Short hair looks very effective if you put the gel all over so that your hair was sparkling all around. You may also use sparkling spray, which doesn’t only fix a hairdo but also makes it sparkle. This spray is perfect for final touch to the hair-setting.
Hair ink is an extravagant way of hair coloring but you should be patient and skilled enough here. Take a thin lock and keep it aside while dying not to dye the rest hair. Dye the lock carefully with a special brush from the roots to the ends. Try not to press the brush too much; the ink should be applied evenly. If the lock is too long you may make some strokes. The most important is to let the lock dry and only then add it to the rest of the hair. Otherwise you will get something incredible instead of colorful highlighting. By the way you shouldn’t brush your hair for this reason!
Color spray adds some brightness to your hairdo as well. Its color ranges from natural to “acid”. In contrast to the hair ink, spray doesn’t look like a bright line applied on your hair, it will create an effect of colorful veil with fuzzy lines, which will cover most of your hair. You can spray hair against its growth and slantwise, it totally depends on your fantasy. Keep spray 12 inches from the hair while spraying.
Color mousse can also change your hair color for some days. We are talking about wipe-off mousse which not only helps to set hair but color it as well. It is suitable for both emphazising separate locks and for coloring all the hair or its part.
You may successfully combine all covered above. Except it, if unsatisfactory result of the permanent coloring disappears just after a while, all these hair color products will allow you to change your appearance every half an hour and search for the final variant as long as you wish to. You can dye your long hair in different colors with hair ink, pull into a ponytail and spray over with sparkling spray; you can emphasize hair growth lines applying some sparkling gel towards the ponytail. Short hair gives you a chance to use all of your fantasy. Apply some gel, divide hair into triangles and color them with color spray or color mousse one by one. You may use different colors together and dye the partings with contrast colors or sparkles.
