You left me stranded
on this blue lake of
love and emotion
Under the hill where you stand
is the beautiful lake
calm, like love
waiting for swimmers

Me, I was scared
to make waves
but in the end,
it was you
who did not take the plunge

So here I am, cold
wet and broken

You are warm and dry
on the hill
where I know now
I should have stayed
