Sometimes missing you
Seems too much for me to stand.
I have this re-occurring dream of us
On a beach walking hand in hand.
I can’t tell you
How great that would be.
I wish I could convince you.
I wish you could see…
How much I love you
And how much you affect me.
But most of all…
How great and wonderful “our” life could be.
I can’t compete with her…
She’s the mother of your child and your wife.
I just wish you could believe
How desperately I want to share in your life.
To have our own special moments
And memories to look back on.
To stand by your side
And have a small part of your legacy to pass on.
You mean the world to me
And I would give it to you if I could.
Anything you want and need…
If I could get it - I would.
I want to be able to show you
The meaning of unconditional love.
It’s the strongest, most precious kind there is.
The most sacred ‘cause its sent from above.
It’s the kind you deserve to have,
The kind you deserve to know.
Every part of me is “in love” with you…
From my head to my toes.
I long for the day you will be mine
To have and to hold.
To wipe the sweat when you’re hot,
And warm you when you’re cold.
To go to sleep with you in my arms
And to wake up the same way.
To tell each other that we love each other
Each and every day.
To one day have a family and a home
That we can call “ours”.
I pray to God to keep you safe
Minute by minute, hour by hour.
Until that day-
