Was I really that stupid to not see you were fake
I gave you all my love but all you did was take
You’d had me thinkin that you were so true
But I guess you put on a mask to make me think it was you

Sometimes it’s true that nothing lasts forever
Only when you stop believing, and you think that it’s over
That one always told me that I was perfect in their eyes
But I guess I was perfect for when they said goodbye

So goodbye to the future and goodbye to the past
You were so naïve to think it would last
I was always told to stay honest and true
How ironic that that person was you

Don’t fret over this, don’t have any regrets
All you have to do is forgive and forget
Forget the person that you once knew
The person left behind but always stayed true
