If I told you that I loved you right from the start
Would you have run from me?
Would it have hardened your heart?
I fell in love with your heart of gold
Your kindness, your poems
I knew I was sold.
I knew then and I still know now
But telling you-I don’t know how?
I’m afraid if I do and you don’t love me back,
I’d be bluer than blue and my heart would crack.
So I’ll hold onto these feelings
For now they are mine
Please understand, I have no spine!
When it comes to love I want the best
And thus far dear, you pass that test.
You are more than special
As from above and it is you that I’d like to share my love.
I’m done with hurting and my heart feeling pain
When we don’t talk, I go insane.
You are so special to me
More than you could even know!
That’s why I shall keep what I feel inside
