Rooftop Kisses

On a rooftop somewhere
high above the ground
You grabbed my hand
and without any sound
you entwined both our hands
and softly whispered you were scared..

and after a few minutes
you placed your hands on my waist
slowly leaning forward
gazing in my eyes
said you were too afraid to kiss me
I promised you it wouldn't be that bad

only inches apart you
pulled me closer and closer
I saw your eyes falling down
as I softly stroke through your hair
and then you finally kissed me
it all felt so perfect and surreal
like lightening had stroke me
as you pulled away to stare

and right now I just wish
it had last forever
and that I had remembered it all
but nothing ever lasts long
including you and me
yea
you and me
we're done
even before a second kiss had ever begon..
