Searching

Almost twenty years of searching,
And I've found what is was I wanted.
My life has found meaning,
All my wishes have been granted.
I understand my dreams now,
I've gained a new lease of life,
For now on I will only dream,
Of being made your wife.

Almost twenty years of searching,
And I've found everything I desire,
But the one I want more than anything,
I learn that I do not inspire.
My dreams have all been shattered,
This love is just an illusion,
My belief in what I could have with him,
It turns out to be a delusion

Almost twenty years of searching,
And now I can see, now I understand,
Why people talk about life as they do,
And say that we're all just grains of sand.
Love is not a perfect thing,
It's not how I pictured it to be,
Love hurts, love burns, love scars,
But I'll keep searching
Until I find the one for me.

I don't know how old you are or what you've been through but this I do tell you, love is hard but once you have found it it is very rewarding. I am 22 years old and have been married for five years. Love was VERY hard for me but now I am enjoying the fruits of my labor; five years of marraige and two beutiful children.
