Stone Wall

I built a wall inside of me
It goes around my heart so no one can see
Every time I was hurt, I laid a stone
And over time it has grown
It’s now so big and strong
It makes me too weak to move along
Please don’t be scared of my stonewall
If you love me you’ll make it fall.
But just as stone by stone was laid
It will take much longer for them to fade
All I ask is that don’t give up on me
You’re the only one with the key, to set me free
