I once thought they meant to be
So perfect they were
with love in their hearts
She loved him with all her soul
she was determined to never give inBut he gave in
to a girl from the past
A babe she was carrying
and yours, it was true

Our path was split and you chose hers
My heart didn’t matter anymore
because she was more important
she was to be the one by your side

So many tears I cried almost every night
wishing for you to hold me
to tell me that everything was okay
for you to say you still loved me

You were my world
but I guess I wasn’t yours
You are still my world, and I love you
I may not be yours
but if you are happy, then it’s okay
