Our Love Rises Above Uncertainty

We sit here looking into each others eyes
Our souls that we see are together, entwined
But you turn your gaze away from me
Even though we're meant to be, you're afraid to seeWe laugh, tease, and have the most fun with each other
When we need someone, we're there with strength to offer
The thought of you leaving for another is too sad
That can't happen if we cherish the love we've, so far, had

I don't know if I believe in love at first sight
So we'll prove it's love through time, day and night
The feelings we have for each other are often told
So why can't we seem to trust what is known?

I lie awake by myself, wondering if you'll always be there
I sleep contently in your arms, but dream with future's fear
We have our ups and downs, but always find the light
So, breath, don't despair, together our lives will be right
