Behind this smile
Is a girl you'll never know
A girl who has emotions
That she chooses not to show
Behind these eyes
Are stories left untold
A dream that hasn't been accomplished
Layers that have yet to unfold

Behind this face
People don't know what to think
Nobody will feel her pain
And what causes her to sink

Behind this smile
is a world filled with lies
Sometimes the truth isn't enough
But somehow it gets her by

Behind her wisdom
Is someone you haven't met
She's your worst nightmare
You'll be afraid of her, I bet

Behind her words
Are something you can't explain
Something words cannot complete
She isn't normal nor plain

Behind her shadow
Is a world left unknown
A past yet unspoken
That she prefers not to show

Behind my smile
Is a girl you'll never know
A girl who has emotion
That I never choose to show
