 | Another Poem That I Submitted Under 'Rebecca S.' Please Don't Think I Stole It! Thank You
Dear Mom,
I'm sorry for the things I do
I'm sorry if I don't do my best to please you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get you a gift
I'm sorry your spirits, I could not lift
You're the greatest mom a girl could ever have
Today I didn't make you happy, which makes me very sad.
It's not that I don't care about you
But as a matter of fact, I do
You may not know but since you're the best mom,
I'd give my life for you
I'm sorry I'm too young to have a job
So I can't get money to buy you what you want
I'm sorry if I ever disappointed you in any way possible
But if I had to live my life without you, I'm sorry...mission impossible.
Everything now,
would be nothing without you
I'd be out in the cold, with no clue on what to do
I'm sorry I made you sad
Especially on your birthday
You deserve so much more
than the saying itself
I'd be nothing but a statue upon a shelf
If this sounds made up
Please don't think for a second it is
because truthfully your love
is never-ending bliss
Through all my wrongs
You loved me no matter what it was
And with all my rights
You give me more love
I'm so sorry I made you sad
It makes me want to die
I'm so sorry for the things I did
That's why the tears roll down my cheeks as I quietly cry
Right now if I could change the day
I'd right every one of my wrongs
For you are the greatest mother
the world has come upon.
I love you more than words can say
My love will never subside
I'll love you with every breath
Even after when I shall die
I will never be anything without you,
Without you by my side
Mommy, forgive me
I'm sorry for today
If I could turn it back once more
this is what I'd say:
You're the best, I am so greatful
You will never know
My love for you, I will try harder
to let every bit of it show
I hope what I say will have meaning
throughout the rest of the day
is I love you so much Mommy...
Happy Birthday
