Cain's legacy: A brother's love

Submitted by Roy Love

I wept today. Why did you leave me when I love you so? My house was yours, my life your own.
I let you know my thoughts, wept on your shoulder. I told you of my pain, and of my sorrow.I wanted help, and you betrayed my trust.
You knew I loved her. You saw my tears.
My pain became your joy. You cried with me, then laughed with her in the darkness of my bedroom.
You found comfort in my misery.
Gave in to your desire for what once was part of me.
You left me in the shadows of my grief.
My house was yours, my life your own.
My wife not yours, but you desired more.
Cain loved his brother, he took his life and not his soul.
But Cain is dead, and Abel can not mourn.
