Pain Relief

Submitted by George Guilis

He tried to find the meaning
Would give his life to get an answer
Scared, in the corner screaming
His brain being eaten live by an unknown cancerRejected by society heart ripped into pieces by each word
Instead of trying to fit in he tried to disappear
He tried to scream out loud, but none listened, none heard
The pressure caused the boy to live in constant fear

To them each word was but a joke
To him it was like knifes right through the heart
They didn’t expect the evil they provoked
The pressure caused his conscience to depart

A demon born, a child killed
Oh, why where they so blind
Revenge a dream to be fulfilled,
Was all that crosses the boy’s corrupted mind.

So standing at the corner near the school
His fingers on the trigger
With sweaty hands he held the murder tool
The world around getting bigger

A boy walks in, the shots are heard
Then screams of those not dead yet
And only cuz of ignorance this has occurred
And then the next day we’ll forget

He saved one shot, but not because of greed
He’s selfish and decides the easy way to kill his pain
He knows just one effective pain relief
A bullet to the brain.
