how did i know this would happen?
i knew that this night would come
youd reach for me so tenderly
and then leave me laying here numbforget the love we made
burn the memories we had
tear the life we once believed
and then turn your world to her.
no one ever warned me
that we would end up this way
nobody ever told me
that our love would soon decay
but a girls gotta do
what a girls gotta do
and now baby youre being replaced.

so tear the memories we made
and let them burn in your heart
and when you look at her
just think of me and how she tore our world apart
you aint good with her
and one day youll see
and just like my once wild beautiful butterfly
