I Exist

I see you coming my way
It’s like watching my cat get run over
Just another day
I used to think you were my four leaf cloverYou walk by me as if I don’t exist
My stomach churns with emotion
My eyes start to mist
As I think of your lost devotion

If we could go back in time
I would tell you of my past up front
Then maybe unconditional love would not be a crime
Just because I was so blunt

But all I can do is just keep walking
With my head up high
I cannot keep fleeing
No matter how hard I try
