Why do we hurt?

why do people hurt each other?
Wy do we hurt our friends
Give all our trust and love
Then find it's all pretend.You give your love
Stay honest and true
Thinking to yourself all the time
That they would never hurt you.

But I got deceived
Hurt and confused
I've been taken for granted
lied to and used

Am i being selfish?
or rightfully feeling pain
I loved you
but i never want to love again

It's like a tousand knifes
being stabbed through my heart
It's sad to think a simple kiss
has torn and broken my heart

I'm too scared to love again
I've no trust left to give
But you like her no longer me
And so should i forgive?
