Never

I’ve never crossed an ocean;
I’ve not yet seen the world.
I know nothing about tomorrow;
Or what the future holds.I’ve never searched for treasures;
Or caught a falling star.
I’ve never won the lottery;
Or even win a car.

Imperfect all my life;
And always will I be.
I’ve never cried a river;
For smiling sets me free.

I can never control tomorrow;
Or ever change the past.
I never believed in cupid;
Or found a love that lasts.

Never have I been famous;
Or had a loyal fan.
I’ve never invented anything;
I’m just a simple man.

Never lived on an island;
Or seen the blue lagoon.
I’ve never flown in space;
Or set foot on the moon.

I never have been famous;
Or been an astronaut.
I’ve never done those things;
Bu now it matters not.

I never told you this;
I’ve always been afraid.
But when my world was torn apart;
You were there to give me aid.

I’ve never felt so confident;
Like nothing could go wrong.
I never knew how good it was;
Until you came along.

It’s the world, the stars, and moon;
That you make me feel I have.
I just never thought God has sent to me;
An angel from above.
